I'm a postdoctoral research fellow in the BORG lab at the Georgia Institute of Technology, under the supervision of Frank Dellaert.

I received my bachelor in Mechatronic Engineering in 2006 from Politecnico di Torino. In 2008 I achieved the MS degree in Mechatronic Engineering from the same university and MS degree in Automation Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. In 2010 I was a visiting student at the University of Zaragoza, Spain, and in 2011 I held a visiting student position at the University of California Santa Barbara, United States. I defended my PhD thesis in Robotics at Politecnico di Torino (February 2012) where I also spent one year as a postdoc in the Robotics Research Group

My research interests include estimation, optimization and control applied to mobile robotics, with special focus on localization, mapping, and decision making for mobile robots navigation.
